I'm not disappointed at all so I'll give it a go in the future. Good post! I've decided to watch some gameplay videos, which I hadn't yet, and see for myself. I have not played the whole game, so I cannot comment fully on the story.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit. And so far it only occurs in ME Andromeda. On this settings everything is fine, not once it reboots. On Silent Settings : GPU Boost Clock : 1582 Mhz. QuoteĪ lot of the complaints that I have seen could have been aimed at any Mass Effect game, like repetitive gameplay, bad animations and occasionally wooden dialogue. Above settings cause the PC to force reboot upon launching the game to Main Menu. The rest of the game looks so good it just makes the animations more noticeable.Ī lot of the complaints that I have seen could have been aimed at any Mass Effect game, like repetitive gameplay, bad animations and occasionally wooden dialogue. I am really enjoying the game, the changes to the movement system with the jump pack really improves combat and adds a lot of verticality to the levels.Ī lot of people are complaining about the animations, though IMHO they are no worse that what I have seen in other RPGs. To be honest, it isn't like Mass Effect 1, where I was amazed at the Citadel, but that is because I had already seen a lot of the same things in Mass Effect 1. The problem is that it is a Mass Effect game without any of the nostalgia, which means that everything is new while feeling very similar at the same time. Which would be a shame! What's your and everyone's experience with the story? I should, seemingly, be disappointed by the lacklustre story judging by the euro gamer review, and equally dull and repetitive gameplay. We wouldn’t expect close to 60 frames on a single GPU, but for a game as. Thanks a million Mark! I've been waiting to read your results. At a huge 3840 x 2160 resolution on ultra settings, Andromeda runs at an average of 36 fps, and a minimum of 27 fps.
It would have been nice to see a similar resolution downgrade/scale option for cutscenes for those that desire steadier framerates during cutscenes, as these performance dips are very noticeable.

The only concern about Mass Effect Andromeda's performance is the huge performance dips during cutscenes and dialogue scenes, which on both the PS4 and Xbox One requires a resolution downgrade to achieve a steady 30 FPS. When Bioware released PC system requirements for Mass Effect: Andromeda, there was some concern about the recommended specs. Not only were they hefty but EA also recommended them for hitting 1080p. It is clear that this data was false and that Nvidia's GTX 1060 can easily achieve 60FPS gameplay at the correct settings.

Thankfully these results put to rest concerns about this game's performance, with official EA system requirements listing a GTX 1060 3GB as a suitable GPU for 1080p 30 FPS gameplay. It is clear from these results that Mass Effect Andromeda prefers to run on GPUs from Nvidia, which is unsurprising given Bioware's work with the company throughout the game's development. Moving down to 1080p high and 1440p medium settings will see this game play at average framerates of over 60FPS on both of these GPUs. When benchmarking this game on our GTX 1060 and RX 480 GPUs we can see that even at a resolution of 1440p that the game can be played at a steady 30+ FPS at Ultra settings on both GPUs, though it is worth noting that in-engine cutscenes dialogue scenes can suffer from harsher dips in performance. 8GB should be plenty to run a game without it stuttering every 5 mins.RX 480 VS GTX 1060 - Low, Medium, High and Ultra Settings MEA is far less impressive graphically yet even worse at optimisation.īottom line, extra RAM has fixed the problem - but its not something we should have to do. We shouldn't NEED 16gb of RAM to minimise stutters, thats ridiculous.Īssassins Creed Unity is Notorious for being very badly optimised, yet that game ran fairly smoothly for me back when i had 8GB of RAM. this will work for 1080 resolution as well with a much higher FPS.enjoy the monster graphs P.S.if your running a lesser card in 1080 resolution you may be able to pull off these settings. 1440 you may need to adjust slightly depending on cpu and the 1080 8GB. This game is nowehere near the most graphically impressive game of the last 5 years yet it has got to be on of the most unoptimised games i have ever played. Mass Effect ANDROMEDA best possible graphics. Only had one frame stutter in about 3 hours since i installed the extra RAM. I had the exact same problem as everyone else, major stuttering especially in Tempest, even though it was apparantly running at 45+ fps on high settings.Ĭhanging graphics quality to medium and then low had no effect.įrom 8gb to 16gb - the Improvement is great.
